Resource Guide
The Resource Guide is the highlight of the weapon system. Instead of most forums which rely solely on pvp or story, CS's Resource Guide mixes them together... but also adds some flare! We use a "resource" here and associate it with each segment of the shinobi world map. These resources are what strengthen villages, our personal weapons and even some of our jutsu. You may be a powerful shinobi, but you can't fight a whole village!(maybe). To emphasize more on this, the shinobi world as a whole operates on a reputation system which will be covered more in another segment below. This reputation however, is closely associated with the main aspect of the Resource Guide, as it pertains to each individual village and/or organization's control and influence over territory. The more territory on the map you control, the more resources you obtain! This of course means you may be seen as a threat by other villages or groups, so be mindful when claiming territory!

You may be asking yourself, "How does someone claim a territory?" Let's use Guest as an example! Say they belong to a certain village or organization: that group needs funds, resources to finance their war against another village or group. Can't make weapons without materials, right?! So Guest finds their group short on necessary materials to create weapons for their military strength. Simply put, their group has become too large to be supported by the current number of territories they possess. Guest has a couple of options, but all involve claiming more territory. First, they can go personally to another territory(advisedly the closest ones to your own territory!) and create an open thread with [CONQUEST] in the title. Doing it this way means that them as a shinobi will be personally claiming this territory. Guest must post the topic in the proper location associated with the forum(After traveling) and post at least one post where they enact their attempt to conquer that territory. This can be done many ways, from outright battle to subtle assassinations- yet all must involve killing or chasing off the enemy occupiers. In the case of neutral territory, there are no enemy occupiers: just villagers who you can either fight or find a way to convince them to remain peaceful.

  • Anyone Chuunin+ can participate in Conquests.
  • Does NOT involve the mission system(Neither restrictions, nor rewards)
  • There must be at least one attacker who stays within the thread for a complete 48 hours OOC before they can leave(Otherwise the territory reverts to previous ownership).
  • There is no maximum number or attackers or defenders.
  • Both attackers & defenders have 48hours each to respond or they are skipped & incur any claimed hits if pvp is involved.

The second way is missions. Missions are the alternative to outright open threads. It is also the alternative to having to fight other player characters to claim territory. Missions however, require two missions in the same territory to claim the territory, unlike a Conquest which only requires a single thread. The mission must be labeled [CONQUEST:Mission] and also be in the proper location on the forum. These missions cannot be invaded, but others may also perform conquest missions on the same territory and whoever has the most missions done by the next week- claims that territory.

  • Genin may participate in Conquest Missions only in defending territory they control.
  • Multiple missions are required to reclaim one territory(But are not limited to any one person per territory.) The general rule is 2 missions(increased by increased difficulty, so while a C Rank might require 2 missions, a B Rank would require 4, A would be 6, etc)
  • If two or more factions are competing for the same territory, whichever faction has the most mission points by the end of the week- claims the territory.
  • Conquest missions must reflect the nature of the territory(If bandits control the territory, you must do Bandit missions, etc)
  • Certain territories possess higher threats & may require specific ranked missions to participate. Some events cannot be done by missions. Minimum mission difficulty Is C Rank. Anything from bandits to Bijuu may attack any territory depending on how lucky(Or unlucky) you are!

Something else to note is the importance of attacking actual villages. Not any one person can conquer a village, no matter how powerful they may get in the game. There will be a minimum of 3 A Rank shinobi present for a full 48hours attacking the village before it may be considered conquered. If any one of the 3 are defeated or lose turns in the 48hour posting order, then that group forfeits the right to claim or destroy a village.

However for those who do claim an enemy village, they may take that village's Resource points, RYO and add it to their own village(Not for themselves). Please note that you can't just show up inside an enemy village and attack- you must first conquer the enemy territory leading to the village's location first. Once you obtain a territory, there is a 24hour OOC time-limit before you may attack another territory.

Generated events

You may be wondering what else is there to be done with the Resource system. Well I'll tell you! At the end of each week(Sunday), every village/organization's territories are added up and various rewards are distributed. This reward increases the more territories you control!

After the rewards are given out, the staff will roll a dice system. This dice system determines what territories are affected by various factors. These factors include things like bandits, criminal organizations, random evil doctors and experiments, small rebellious villages, beasts, wild summons and even Bijuu! After the dice has been rolled and the map updated, shinobi may once again begin their conquest. Of course you have to steadily control and defend territory to keep it. If you don't, then you may continue to lose territory and power each week. The amount of territories affected may change depending on early stages of testing.

Each territory controlled, adds 5,000 RYO & 3 Tier 1 Resource Points to your village's funds at the start of each week.
