Johogakure
Village hidden in technology

The village of Johogakure is dubbed as the "village hidden in technology" because the village itself takes great pride in the technological advancements in their era. The majority of any technology was developed by the warring village of Johogakure, in efforts to better themselves or weaken their rival village, Chozogakure. Alongside the neutral village, Shikigakure, Johogakure has bargained treaties and deals with the medical-oriented village to produce equipment and tools to better serve the neutral village. Due to this, Johogakure shares a fragile but long-lasting neutrality with the village of Shikigakure.

Johogakure was the first of the three major villages to rise up. With the aid of several prominent clans, like the Uchiha- the nation became united under a single man, the Johokage. This man's name was Nerumu Uchiha, easily said to be the most powerful shinobi in history. Some would discredit him and say that his strength came from relying too much on his sharingan, but his real quality was uniting his people under a singular cause. This strong-willed leadership was what led to the village's early birth, far before the other two major nations.

As a member of the Uchiha clan though, most of his efforts were directed towards wiping out the Uchiha's hated rivals, the Senju. For a time, the whole village was united in rooting out the Senju clan and using them for various purposes. Some would even say in progressing the Johokage's own power in some ways. Of course this unified assault led the Senju to seek allegiance to the second major village, Chozogakure. The clan disputed took root inside these two new villages and sparked several wars. Ever since then, the village of Johogakure has constantly been at war with Chozogakure, albeit more mildly within the last two generations. Skirmishes between the two villages have been the most recent hostilities.

The most notable event between these two villages was what is famously known as the "One Year War". Three generations ago, just after Nerumu Uchiha's death, Chozogakure saw weakness in Johogakure. This assumed weakness turned into a full blown war between the villages, where they waged war in the neutral lands between the two nations. Many shinobi from both sides died, but worse- the majority of rural and peaceful villages, their people and even the animals were massacred. That is to say, the war between the two villages ravaged the neutral lands between their borders. It is called the One Year War because the survivors of that war, can recall mounds of countless bodies. The neutral lands between the two villages still hold much hostility towards both villages.

Geography

Johogakure's region is somewhat akin to that of Shikigakure's, full of forests and swamps. Johogakure possesses many fertile fields however, the effects of many generations of cutting down forests to further their agricultural and technological advances. Although Johogakure is considered the third and smallest of nations and landmass, they are arguably the richest in terms of farms and industries. Unlike Shikigakure however, Johogakure has realized the potential of the sea. The place known as Obsidian Port is a small village built by Johogakure for the purpose of exports and imports, as well as a naval fleet. Though the village has a long history of fighting pirates as well.

Village Environment
Johogakure Village Info/History AD01wyQ
The current Johogakure is focused around its war-machine, fueled by the hatred for their rival village of Chozogakure. The village's ranking system is equivalent to the shinobi system, but the village designates their shinobi under a more military title, role and responsibility. It is quite common to be referred to by their military rank and not shinobi rank, within the village. Rank & Rank symbol are listed below.
Genin- Ensign(•)
Chuunin- Senior Ensign(••)
Spc Jounin- Sub Lieutenant(•••)
Jounin- Lieutenant(••••)
ANBU- Captain()
ANBU Commander- Vice Admiral(★★)
Sannin- Rear Admiral(★★★)
Kage- Grand Admiral(★★★★)
Missing Nin- Deserter

As you can guess by the above rankings, Johogakure's military system is strict and devoted to their village and leadership. The shinobi use unorthodox tactics, coordination, equipment and rules to aid them in their victories. It is also common for shinobi of this village to wear strange clothing unlike other shinobi. These are their military uniforms, but are mostly optional unless in a formal situation.

Failure to follow proper rank customs and laws may result in punitive actions, such as demotions, time in the brig or even public execution.

Fleet Laws
1. Pay proper respect and salutes to any rank above you.
A salute is rendered by standing at attention & raising your right hand above your right brow.

2. Obey the orders from those above you.
An order may be denied if it is against the village's benefit, or not for the village's direct gain. If an order is denied, you may register a complaint that is sent to a  Rear Admiral or Grand Admiral to investigate.
An order may not demand you to die for any reason, with the exception of public executions.

3. Each shinobi has a symbol that depicts their rank at all times, somewhere visible on their uniform.
Typically on their headband or military clothing(Such as hat or jacket).

4. Withholding important information about criminals or war combatants will be punished severely.
Always report sightings of potential threats or wanted targets. Include as much information as possible, so that the village and its shinobi always have the most up-to-date information.

5. Allies of the village are to be treated fairly but not above suspicion.
Failure to treat our allies fairly, will result in punitive actions depending on how severe the situation.
Failure to monitor and ensure our allies aren't taking advantage of us, will also result in punitive action based on how severe the situation.

6. Deserters and war combatants are to be treated with extreme prejudice.
All targets that fall under this title, should be considered wanted dead or alive.

7. Actions against other villages or major organizations must be sanctioned by the Grand Admiral.
Even in times of war, order must be followed. Attacking villages or major organizations without proper consent through the military, will be handled very seriously.

8. Leaking important information is prohibited & will be punished severely.
Any information that the enemy may use against the village, must not be shared. Treat everything regarding the village's history, actions, clans and identities, as a secret.
