The shape of the fan is that of a gourd, with the handle split right down the middle of the fan and extended past the body for three and a half hands length. The fan itself is adorned with the Uchiha's tomoe symbol, signifying its history with the Uchiha clan. Often the coloring of the fan will change to match its wielder.
