Missions 1 Empty Missions 1

Post by Kuro Thu Jun 25, 2020 7:55 am

Mission 1:

Kuro rolled out of his bed and onto the floor. It was finally the day he had been waiting for! Today, around a week after he had finally graduated the academy, he was able to take on his first official missions! Jumping up, he would rush to the small bathroom at the back of his apartment to brush his teeth and prepare for the day. Once he was ready, he got dressed in the outfit he had picked out for his first day! Black pants, white shirt and a red vest with his mother's necklace out on display. His headband tied proudly on his right arm.

Once he got dressed, he gave himself a once over in the mirror before he locked up his things and headed out the door. He was heading for the Johokage tower where he would receive his first collection of orders! Rushing down the street, he would arrive to the tower, seeing two officers exiting just as he was about to enter, rendering a crisp salute, which was returned, he would then slip into the building to collect his missions. The tower itself was immaculately cleaned and very elegant looking,

Once he was inside the tower, he was directed through several halls, past several offices and the like. Once he made it to the one with an open door and a plaque that read "mission consignment room". Once he got into the room, he offered the customary greeting to the officer inside, who then handed him a large scroll containing his missions. Offering another farewell, he would then make his way out of the building to check out his first directive. It was common for new ensigns to be given several missions when they first go in, so as to help them quickly build experience.

Unfurling the scroll, Kuro would read the first mission, being one about going to clear out some debris from a shipwreck on the nearby beach. It wouldn't be too hard of a mission, but he knew from his training that for a long while, his missions were gonna be simple tasks and menial labor. But he could deal with that while he trained with his family and grew stronger over time. While he of course wanted more challenging missions, even he could recognize that he wasn't anywhere near where he needed to be in order to take on those missions.

Missions 1 Empty Re: Missions 1

Post by Kuro Thu Jun 25, 2020 9:00 am

Once he finished his deliberations, he decided to make the trek to the beach that was his area of operations. It took him several minutes to get there, even moving at his maximum speed, but once he arrived, he looked at the beach covered in scarp metal, boxes and other bits of junk one would expect to see after a shipwreck. Once he arrived, he found a construction worker who was overseeing a crane moving some of the larger bits of things. Upon reporting in to the man, he was directed to another area of the beach to begin his part of the clean-up.

Making his way tot he designated area, he would begin picking up smaller bits of metal and broken boxes. He built up a pile where he would be able to keep the things he picked up, so that the construction worker could collect it all later with the large crane he had. Once he got to the bigger things, he found that it was easier to simply break them down more so as to put them into the other pile. It only took him about two hours and he was able to get his area of the beach looking totally spotless.

Mission 2:

By the time he had finished gathering all of the trash together, it was roughly Three hours until noon. So, he was preparing himself to move on to his next task. Before he could go, he needed to kill a little time, so he went to say good bye to the contractor and then gather his belongings. By the time he was done, his second mission was actually just about ready to start. There was a fresh Genin, similar to himself, that was looking for a sparring partner to test his strength against. He simply wanted someone against whom to see how he measured.

So, Kuro would quickly make his way to the training area. Once there, he found a child, a year or so younger than himself it appeared, and a little smaller in frame as a result of this age gap. Kuro approached the boy, "I am Kuro, I have been assigned the mission to test your level. Come at me with the intent to kill, or go home." When he said this, he got into a basic stance that he had mastered in his years of training. It was a stance that he had pushed himself into learning so that he would be able to defend himself, while still being able to react to openings created by said defense.

Missions 1 Empty Re: Missions 1

Post by Kuro Thu Jun 25, 2020 9:32 am

When the little kid rushed him, he dodged to the right of the first punch, then used his left palm to push the follow up punch up into the air while simultaneously planting his right fist into the kids gut. Hard. The kid fell to the ground coughing, "If you want to defeat someone, you must attack relentlessly, yes. But, it is also imperative that you find out more about your opponent before you rush in without a care in the world." At the kids current level, he was nothing but a liability. He returned to his stance and beckoned the kid to approach him again.

Once the kid returned to his own... stance, it was hardly what one would call a stance. This is what happened when the academy allowed rich investors to put in their children and then get them pushed through so they get rewards and accolades without being quite as competent as the other students. Regardless of this, Kuro was there to help get this kid on the right track, and that is just what he would do. Telling the kid some improvements to his stance, he would prepare for another attack, giving the kid plenty of time to prepare some form of strategy.

Waiting while he could see the gears turning in the kids head, it was obvious that he had taken his lessons to heart as his stance had improved. In no way was it perfect, but it was better. After a few moments of waiting, the kid rushed forwards again, but this time, as opposed to going for a direct attack, he ducked down to attack Kuro's legs. Smart. He had improved in his stratagem, but he would be disappointed to find that it didn't work against this opponent. Leaping over the attack, he would land behind the kid, grabbing him by the shoulder and throwing him a short distance away.

He couldn't deny that the kid had some skills to be sure, because he managed to spring back onto his feet very fluidly. Rushing forwards again, the kid was attempting another attack. Kuro decided to end the fight, grabbing a handful of dust he would throw it into the boy's eyes, blinding him for a moment. He would then kick the kid in the stomach, putting him on the ground. "The most important thing for a Shinobi is victory through any means. There is no law in war, there are no rules to survival. There is no fairness in life."

Mission 3:

Once the kid left, he opened the scroll once more to see what his next mission would be. Clasping His mission scroll shut, Kuro swiftly made His way across the village. He had a particular location in mind that He needed to reach. It was a market store, a place that sold fresh fruits and vegetables grown in the oasis. He arrived and the woman that ran the place quickly shoved a wooden box filled with various vegetables into His chest and pushed His out the door. He yelled something along the lines of he had to deliver that before the sun rose above the village.

Looking down, he saw that he had an address written on tip of the box, so he would know where to go for his delivery. It was across the village and out the gate, just a couple of miles away. He didn't have too long though, so he needed to hurry. Rushing through the streets, he was moving as fast as he could, but also making sure to keep the box in his possession. The streets were mostly empty, with only a few people wandering the streets this early in the morning.

Regardless, he was glad that there weren't many people to get in his way, as that would make it much more difficult. As he ran though, he found his path suddenly blocked by a guy delivering supplies to a local shop, but he managed to leap over him at the last second. He wouldn't allow such a thing to mess up his mission! But as he was distracted, he almost missed the pile of boxes on the other side of the man, tossing his delivery parcel into the air, he would somersault over the boxes and catch his on the other side in a masterful display of acrobatics that could only be preformed by a true shinobi.

As he made his way to the edge of the village, he knew that he was still running out of time. Glancing back, he saw that the sky was beginning to lighten up, so it was time for him to rush even more than he already had been. He was beginning to feel the strain of exerting himself so heavily for such an extended period of time. He didn't have time to be tired now though, not when he was so close to completing his mission. He was running on steam and would certainly need a break once he completed this mission, but that would work out fine.

Missions 1 Empty Re: Missions 1

Post by Kuro Thu Jun 25, 2020 11:21 am

He could get some breakfast at his favorite place nearby, so it was good. Looking back towards the horizon, he could see that the sun was beginning to rise. He knew that He only had around twenty more minutes, and time was only moving on. He immediately leapt into action, jumping up one of the buildings, using His shinobi agility to make the way up to the rooftop. From there, He moved at high speeds towards the east, where He was to deliver these groceries. He could see that the sun was just beginning to reach the point where it would show in the horizon.

He flipped, moving fast enough that none of his cargo had the chance to fall out. When He landed, He was in front of a door. Rechecking the number to the one that was written on the box, He would knock three times and an elderly woman would answer the door. After He took His food, signed the mission slip, and thanked His for the help, Kuro would swiftly make His way back to the mission tower to turn in another successful mission. He enjoyed feeling so successful on his first day, so once he turned it in, he decided to treat himself to a hearty breakfast to give him the energy to complete more missions the rest of the day.

Missions 1 Empty Re: Missions 1

Mission 4:

He went into the diner to grab some food, luckily, he had a good reason to come in earlier than they opened, so he went inside to quickly eat his breakfast. Once he finished, he then stood up, stretched and put his dishes away, it was time to begin. His fourth mission of the day, was to aid in a popular breakfast diner in the village. He was to relieve one of the night shift workers just in time for their morning rush. It was already nearly 0730 and the rush would be starting the moment the place opened up.

When he arrived, he was greeted by a very drunken manager who ordered him to clean off tables and prepare the food. Which, in his humble opinion seemed like a lot to ask someone his age. But, he made it work. He went to work, first cleaning off the tables which hadn't been cleaned by the nightly staff. He wiped them clean at a rapid pace, leaving them sparkling in his wake. Next, came the hardest part of this mission, preparing the food. He had been trained to cook basic meals, using materials one would find in the wilderness, and a few meals that could be made using things found in a normal kitchen.

Missions 1 Empty Re: Missions 1

Post by Kuro Thu Jun 25, 2020 12:19 pm

He went to work, getting all their required food prepared, just in time too, as the doors opened and orders began to pour in. Food orders poured in through the window as more and more people ordered their food. He put out bowls of miso soup, steamed rice with various forms of proteins that were being ordered. He had various types of fish on the grill, which was his village's specialty, so no surprise there. There was also freshly made Natto as well as Tsukemono, Nori and Kobachi. A lot of people seemed to enjoy the food he was putting out, so he was actually happy.

He enjoyed cooking, so this was less of a hassle or even really a mission and was a great way to practice his hobby. He enjoyed the sounds and smells associated with a busy kitchen. The smell of searing fish on the grill as well as the feeling of plating up an absolutely gorgeous dish to send out to a hungry customer and receiving back plates that are emptied of food. He had to admit, if he wasn't so dead set on being a shinobi, he would open up a restaurant and would serve the best plates in the village.

Missions 1 Empty Re: Missions 1

Post by Kuro Thu Jun 25, 2020 12:20 pm

His favorite things to cook were any form of meat, as it was, in his opinion the most savory. He worked for several hours, losing track of time easily while toiling away in the kitchen. Sending out various plates of food, as well as a few specialty desserts that some of the children that came in ordered such as Bocchan Dango, Mushi Pan, Nerikiri, and Higashi. He didn't have as much experience making pastries or sweets, so he was enjoying the opportunity to learn and practice the craft. He was offered several compliments on his speed as well as his cooking skills, so he was pretty content with this mission.

Alas, it was not meant to last. After working until around 1000, his replacement arrived and he was allowed to take a break. The food quality dropped without him cooking, but he was thankful for the opportunity to sit for a little while. He was tired from taking on so many missions in one day, but he was thankful that his first day was going as well as it was. Once he received his signature from the grumpy drunk of a manager, he made his way out of the building to head towards his next destination.

Mission 5:

Kuro walked down the street, it wasn't even noon yet and he was on his fifth mission of the day. He knew that this would be his final mission of the day, as he could feel the wear of going so non-stop on his stamina. Though, he was also aware that he still had his physical training to do in the afternoon, so he knew his day was far from over. Once he made his way home he would spend the next several hours running several physical exercises and the like. It was important to him to remain in top condition, as he planned to one day be the strongest in the village!

He knew that it was something of a pipe dream, but he at the very least wanted to be someone he felt his father could be proud of. It was his dream at one point to go on missions with his father, but after the man's passing, he knew that he would simply have to carry on his father's memory in some other way. At the moment, that way, was being the best shinobi he could be. He would push himself until he felt that he achieved this goal, and that led him to where he was now, taking on his final mission of the day. Well, he was on the way to his final location at least.

Missions 1 Empty Re: Missions 1

Post by Kuro Thu Jun 25, 2020 4:35 pm

His last mission was to aid an elderly shop owner to unload and store a cart of supplies. He arrived, and the man came out to greet him. The man was kind, and Kuro had all the expected courtesy and politeness of a professional shinobi. The man gave a brief rundown of what he expected from the job. He wanted boxes unloaded from a pallet that had just arrived, and then placed where they were meant to go. The man was kind enough to tell him that he would simply show him where to put the things once he got to that point.

It was a simple task, he could easily lift 50 lbs, much more than the elderly keeper. The man was at least in his eighties, and that was being generous. Getting started with the mission, he started to grab some of the boxes, stacking a few of them on top of each other as he carried them, the old man then pointing him to the shelf in the warehouse to put the boxes on. Once he got them placed, he went back and got the next handful, taking it to the directed area. He repeated this several more times, putting them higher and higher on shelves.

It took him around an hour, but he finally managed to finish moving all the boxes, so the old man signed his form and let him be on his way. He took a leisurely stroll through the village to turn in his missions at the tower before heading home for lunch. Once he got to the tower and turned in his mission, he would be handed a back that clinked with the sound of his pay. Allowing a smile to spread across his face, he would make his way home. Once he arrived, he got out pots and pans and began to fix himself a good lunch.

He started by steaming up some rice and putting some fish on the grill, getting a good sear across it. He also put together a basic Ramen bowl with some pork inside. It only took him roughly half an hour, but he was finally ready to chow down on some grub. The food was cooked beautifully and would offer him a good amount of energy to make it through the final amount of training he had left for today. After he finished eating, he would clean up his kitchen and would make his way to the nearest training facility to begin his afternoon training.
